BCGA is the British trade association representing companies in the industrial gases industry that manufacture and distribute gases, manufacture receptacles to contain them or equipment to use them.

BCGA's objectives are to promote and advise on safe practice, participate in standards-making and provide departments of Government with access to expert advice and to assist in the preparation of practicable and relevant legislation that applies to the industry.

To promote its objective of providing advise on best practice, BCGA publishes a series of Codes of Practice, Guidance Notes and Technical Reports, prepared in the knowledge and with the co-operation of the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory bodies.
